Asthma Ally® is committed to maintaining the confidentiality, integrity and security of any personal information about its users. This Privacy Policy explains how Asthma Ally® protects personal information collected by Asthma Ally® through Asthma Ally® mobile software (the "Software") and how Asthma Ally® uses that information in connection with the service offered through the Software. Your use of the Software, or any other Asthma Ally® Service (defined below) indicates your consent to the use of your information in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy.

WHAT CAN YOU DO WITH THE SOFTWARE?

The Software enables you report condition-specific information to assist you and, only with your permission, your doctor to better evaluate and monitor your allergies and asthma. Please note, standard data rates, text messaging rates or other carrier charges may apply to the use of the Software.

HOW IS YOUR INFORMATION COLLECTED?

The Software enables you to add, edit, or view data in Asthma Ally® records; you may create a record for yourself and for others. If your doctor has an Asthma Ally® provider account, only you can authorize your doctor to access your Asthma Ally® records. At any time you wish to revoke access, you may do so.

WHAT INFORMATION IS PROVIDED AT SIGN IN?

You sign in to the Software using the identifier and password (“Credentials”) that you created during the setup of your Asthma Ally® account. You may use the Credentials to sign in to other Asthma Ally® sites and services.

If you choose to change the default profile picture in any way, the Software stores a local copy of that picture on your that device only. The picture is never transmitted from your device to another device or server.

WHAT TYPE OF INFORMATION IS COLLECTED?

Information collected includes:

1. Account Information:
a) Email Address

2. Profile Information:
a) Profile Name
b) Conditions Tracked
c) Birth Year
d) Gender

3. Information you supply in periodic evaluations

4. Information you supply regarding condition-specific events

a) If you enable the GPS location service, your geo-location will be recorded upon submitting an event. Prior to storage, your geo-location will be reduced in precision and stored as a general location.
b) In the application settings, you can turn off the GPS location service at any time, however, doing so will reduce the application functionality.

HOW IS YOUR INFORMATION USED?

Asthma Ally® uses information collected through the Software, including health information, to provide the Software`s functionality, and as described in this Privacy Policy. Asthma Ally® does not use or disclose your information except as described in this Privacy Policy. Information collected by the Software is securely transferred to the Asthma Ally® Service. By using the Software, you consent to such transfers. In time, Asthma Ally® may use anonymous event, environmental, and evaluation information of its users - sometimes aggregated - for purposes of research. Asthma Ally® may access and/or disclose your information if it believes such disclosure is necessary to: (a) comply with a law or the ruling of any court, government agency or regulatory commission; (b) protect and defend the rights and/or the property of Asthma Ally® (including the enforcement of agreements); (c) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety and welfare its users or members of the public; or (d) prevent prohibited or illegal activities.

HOW IS YOUR INFORMATION SECURED?

Asthma Ally® is committed to protecting the security of your information. Asthma Ally® uses a variety of security technologies and procedures to assist with the prevention protect your information from unauthorized access, use, and disclosure. First, the application runs end-to-end with 2048 bit SSL encryption to assist with the prevention of third party disclosure while information is in transit between your device and the Asthma Ally® Service. Next, account and profile information are encrypted. Additionally, the database, web, and service servers are all Microsoft Azure servers, so all “internal” communication is conducted behind Microsoft’s Azure’s firewalls. Moreover, the type of data the system stores is also limited (see examples of information collected above).

WHAT CAN YOU DO TO PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION AND CREDENTIALS?

Asthma Ally® recommends that you change your password periodically. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Credentials and should not provide your Credentials to a third party. If you believe that your Credentials have been stolen or that the confidentiality of your Credentials has been compromised, you should change your Credentials immediately. Finally, secure your device; to do this, enable the lock feature to require a password to access your device, and/or log out of your Asthma Ally® account when you’re not using it. Asthma Ally® is not responsible if a third party accesses your account with information that has been obtained from you, with information that you have made public, or through a violation by you of this Privacy Policy.

HOW ARE CHANGES MADE TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY?

Asthma Ally® may occasionally update this Privacy Policy. When we do, we will also revise the "last updated" date at the top of the Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about how we are helping to protect the information we collect. Your continued use of the Software constitutes your agreement to this Privacy Policy and any updates.
